IAT Insurance Group has an immediate need for a Homeowners Property Claims Analyst who can be located in one of the following IAT offices :
- Raleigh, North Carolina
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- Alpharetta, Georgia
This role works a hybrid schedule which reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.
Responsibilities :
- Handles claims, limited to moderate in scope, relative to Homeowners property based on Claims Guidelines.
- Verify / analyze applicable coverage for the reported loss.
- Perform CAT duty as needed that will require occasionally working weekend hours, overnight hours, holiday hours (Federal and religious), etc.
- Investigate each claim by gathering information, conducting interviews, taking statements, conducting website research as needed, reviewing and analyzing reports and related bills.
- Set accurate / timely loss / expense reserves in compliance with Claim Guidelines.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and authorize settlements with all stakeholders within designated authority.
- Select, direct and manage Vendors / Counsel including approval of budgets.
- Negotiate directly with insured and / or claimants upon receipt of critical information.
- Draft correspondence, including but not limited to, coverage letters to stakeholders as required.
- Maintain resident / nonresident adjuster licenses as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Must have :
Must have :
- HS degree / GED with 2+ years of relevant claims experience
- Appropriate claims adjuster licenses.
- Good estimating skills and be proficient with Corelogic and / or Xactimate
- Homeowners claims adjusting or examining experience
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during CAT season, as necessary.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate internally and externally.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred to have :
- Associate / Bachelors degree
- Field adjusting experience
