DATTCO is currently hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant for our Safety Department in Middletown, CT.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Administrative and clerical assistance within the School Bus Division Safety office.
  • Providing classroom and skills training for student transportation vehicle operators.
  • Assist with other duties such as the drug testing program and new employee onboarding.
  • Assist with compliance issues.
  • Record keeping and reporting.
  • Answer routine phone calls, mail and fax inquiries.
  • Tracking and filing of required documents.
  • Monitoring and tracking of renewals of required operating credentials.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Two years clerical or administrative experience (or the equivalent secondary / college level courses)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Able to communicate effectively in a classroom setting
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Excel
  • Self- motivated
  • Ability to work within time constraints
  • Be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Commercial driver’s license (CDL) with P&S endorsements is a plus
