POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Loyalty Data and Analytics will be charged with developing and implementing the 360-degree customer view and enabling state-of-the-art analytic approaches to generate marketing insights and business intelligence about customer value and behavior.

Reporting to the VP of Loyalty and Database Marketing, this role will be strategically positioned to lead efforts in implementing and overseeing the organization’s customer data platform (CDP) to allow marketing end-users across the entire organization to have the data availability and capabilities required to conduct segmentation, modeling, SQL-based querying, and advanced dashboarding.

They will provide reporting and analytics support for the loyalty program, transforming loyalty and customer data into actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.

They will be a key driving force behind employing and activating large volumes of first-party customer data to power a best-in-class loyalty program and hyper-personalized guest experiences in various marketing channels, such as email, mobile app, web, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute the vision for the organization’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) that provides comprehensive customer intelligence and enables marketing performance optimization from activation to revenue.
  • Define and drive the business requirements and roadmap for establishing and developing a modern CDP.
  • Liaison and actively engage with IT and technical partners to enable accurate and reliable marketing data segmentation and analytics across multiple platforms, including but not limited to the EDW, CDP, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Serve as the key contact and business owner to our CDP vendor and other marketing data vendors.
  • Lead and drive the design and implementation of measurement, reporting, and analysis of the loyalty program’s performance against business goals.
  • Create aggregated and summarized data tables for loyalty and marketing campaign performance tracking and analysis.
  • Consolidate customer data from multiple sources (gaming, hotel, F&B, retail, nightlife, etc.) to give a holistic view of a guest's activities while they are on property.
  • Define and prioritize the data collection enhancements and new feature implementation and escalate roadblocks as needed.
  • Provide technical and operational support for technology projects and data infrastructure necessary to stand up and implement a centralized database marketing platform and loyalty tools suited to support the needs of the business regarding customer profile management, data / address hygiene, personalization, campaign management, privacy, and database analytics.
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on quantitative fields (analytics, statistics, data science) and / or equivalent professional work experience in analytics roles required.
  • Minimum of five years of successful experience in a loyalty, database marketing, or marketing analytics role required.
  • Prior experience implementing and / or managing customer data platforms and / or in data warehouses a strong plus.
  • Two years of experience of leading, training, and / or mentoring analytics teams.
  • Hands-on experience working with large data sets (transactional and interaction-level customer data) using SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages or statistical analysis tools.
  • Deep knowledge of data governance principles, including data lineage, metadata management and data stewardship.
  • Influencing and leadership skills; track record of successfully driving change in large organizations.
  • Have strong project management skills including conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, managing deadlines and objectives, and delivering analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong verbal / written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate advanced analytics concepts, insights, and business implications with both technical and non-technical teams, including senior leadership.
  • Be self-driven, have relentless curiosity, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects.
  • Passionate about scalable and future-proof processes, systems, and analytics.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will supervise a team of database marketing managers and analysts.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
