Job Summary :
This position provides support for the MLK Center Director, and Associate Director.- Co-Facilitate My Brother’s Keeper Monthly Dialogues Bi-monthly- Work Collaboratively with Martin Luther King Center Associate Director and Center For Graduate & Professional Diversity Initiative to organize dialogue themes.
Work on the Men of Color Conference- Organize Mentoring Mixer- Meet one-on-one with the Associate Director bi-weekly (minimum) in order to effectively balance academics, personal and MLKC obligations- Serve as a MLKC Staff member, participating in regular staff meetings, retreats, & trainings, and working at least 5 MLKC events a semester- Other duties as assigned
The MBK Student Intern is expected to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and a desire to learn new skills. The student in this position must be a self-starter and have an understanding of working in a professional environment, and have excellent customer service skills.
This position requires a positive attitude and a willingness to assume a variety of roles. The MBK Student Intern is expected to report to work on time, dressed appropriately and show respect for colleagues in the workplace.
