Job Summary :
This position provides support for the MLKC Associate Director, Latino Community Support Specialist of the MLK Center and Program Coordinator for the Center for Graduate & Professional Diversity Initiatives
Co-Facilitate Sister Circle Monthly Dialogues, organize ideas and themes· Work collaboratively with Martin Luther King Center Latino Student Specialist to organize Women’s HERstory Month Initiatives· Co-coordinate Sister Circle Forum· Meet one-on-one with the Associate Director bi-weekly (minimum) in order to effectively balance academics, personal and MLKC obligations· Serve as a MLKC Staff member, participating in regular staff meetings, retreats, & trainings, and working at least 5 MLKC events a semester· Other duties as assigned
The Sister Circle Student Intern is expected to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and a desire to learn new skills.
The students in this position must be a self-starter and have an understanding of working in a professional environment, and have excellent customer service skills.
This position requires a positive attitude and a willingness to assume a variety of roles. The Sister Circle Student Intern is expected to report to work on time, dressed appropriately and show respect for colleagues in the workplace.
