Job Description :

At Regions, the Bank Operations Deposit Processing Specialist performs operational duties to support the processing of deposits including check processing, exception processing, and return item processing.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs maintenance on all accounts

Ensures that all deposits are coded and processed correctly

Corrects and resolves any encoding errors

Processes any return deposit items

Acts as first line of defense for fraud or suspicious transaction activities, including escalating any suspicious transactions or closing the account

Keeps up to date on all applicable government regulations and company policies

Provides guidance to less experienced team membersThis position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience Skills and Competencies

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

General knowledge of banking procedures

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Strongly Preferred :

Experience in Deposit Adjustments

Banking Experience

Schedule :

Schedule is Monday-Friday 7 : 30AM-4PM
