We are inviting applications for a Property Accountant to join our team located in Los Angeles, California. This role primarily revolves around handling accounts payable, rent and CAM reconciliations, and generating financial reports.
The position also requires proficiency in using Yardi software for various accounting functions. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct CAM reconciliation regularly to maintain up-to-date records
- Utilize Yardi software to perform various accounting functions effectively
- Prepare and present financial reports, providing insights into the financial status of the organization
- Handle rent reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed and resolved promptly
- Collaborate with the team to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate account coding in line with the organization's accounting policies
- Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Utilize Yardi Breeze for effective property management
- Show a proactive approach in providing assistance beyond the regular job responsibilities.
- Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in Property Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Demonstrated ability to handle Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Solid understanding and experience with Accrual Accounting
- Experience in performing Auditing tasks
- Proficiency in Yardi Breeze and Yardi software for property management
- Experience with CAM Reconciliation
- Solid understanding and application of Account Coding in accounting practices
- Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
