Georgia-Pacific is hiring an added capability Production Supervisor at our Denton, TX Facility. The Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, processes, and systems.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and lead a crew of employees to exceed production expectations for the shift.
This role will be a 2nd shift 2p-10p and / or 3rd shift 10p-6a position.
Our Team
The team in Denton, TX specializes in corrugated sheet making. The Denton facility is located approximately 35 miles North of downtown Dallas.
Denton is situated at the tip on the Dallas / Ft. Worth Triangle and there is no shortage of activities, whether outdoors or indoors.
This position provides opportunities for promotion in Denton and many other Georgia-Pacific and Koch facilities across the country.

What You Will Do
Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies;
investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes.
- Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
- Ensure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centers.
- Own the production process and accountability and follow through with the Production, Quality, Shipping, Maintenance teams.
- Provide leadership and support across all functions in the facility.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement activities and leveraging expertise of capability groups within Georgia-Pacific
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial OR military environment
- Able to work 2nd shift (2p -10p) and / or 3rd shift (10p-6a).
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience managing print, corrugated / converting or packaging production operations.
- Experience with ERP systems
