Geotechnical Engineer summary :
Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. The Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for leading and / or collaborating on developing proposals, all stages of a geotechnical project including field and laboratory testing, data analysis, and reporting.
The Geotechnical Engineer will also work with materials testing technicians and special inspectors that support three fully accredited materials testing laboratories.

Geotechnical Engineer responsibilities :
- Project management including client communications, project scheduling, deadline tracking, budget preparation & analysis
- Participate in geotechnical site investigations and field visits
- Prepare geotechnical reports summarizing findings, analyses, and recommendations aligned with company and design standards.
- Develop geotechnical project proposals, work scopes and budgets.
- Interact with third party and regulatory agencies to ensure federal, state, and local compliance.
- Responsible for regional geotechnical project business development
Geotechnical Engineer qualifications :
- BS in Engineering
- Current CA GE or PE with strong geotechnical work experience
- Sr. Level with 10 years of experience with 5+ years of post-GE OR Mid-level requires 5 years of geotechnical experience 2-3 years post GE : slope stability evaluation and retaining wall designseismic hazards mitigation (liquefaction, settlement, slope failure, etc.
development of foundation design criteria (shallow and deep)ground improvement techniques
- Familiarity with geotechnical software and tools for analysis and design.
- Experience with project management of various sizes.
