Century Group is in search of an experienced AP Accountant to join a team in Colorado Springs. Qualified candidates with 3+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $30 to $40 per hour.
Job Description :
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy
- Processing invoices
- Obtaining approval for payment
- Coding invoice to correct vendor and General Ledger account
- Scans and files invoices and documents
- Determining what vendor class to use
- Entering new vendors into database
- Preparing information for 1099-MISC Forms to IRS
- Tracking W9's by contacting vendors, following up on missing forms, and entering
- Support Staff Accountant with A / R and A / P entries, schedules, and payments as needed
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects as needed
Requirements :
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
