Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Residential Remodeling Drafter with extensive experience using Chief Architect software.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the residential remodeling industry and a comprehensive understanding of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations.
This role requires in-office presence for two days a week, 6 hours each day, with the flexibility to work remotely as needed.
Requirements
- Utilize Chief Architect software to create detailed and accurate plans.
- Collaborate effectively with interior designers, structural engineers, and other team members.
- Ensure all designs comply with Seattle's residential building codes and regulations.
- Produce technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting and design work.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and clients.
- Stay updated with the latest construction methods and materials.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience with Chief Architect software.
- Strong background in the residential remodeling industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications.
