Job Description
The Safety Coordiantor - Industrial Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, refresher courses, and specialized training sessions.
- Maintain and update safety records, including training logs, incident reports, and safety inspection checklists.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters and communicate safety information to all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the safety program.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Safety Coordinator - Industrial Manufacturing will have the following qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in a safety coordinator or similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
