AGRILAND FS is looking for a sales and strategy driven Seed Sales Manager. This individual will be responsible for consistent, profitable seed sales growth and market share growth.
As a Seed Sales Manager, you will lead, guide, and educate the AGRILAND FS sales and support team through trainings and in the field experiences.
Core Responsibilities :
- Provide marketing and sales leadership for the District Seed Sales Specialists, Crop Specialists, and location teams.
- Work closely with Agronomy Sales Managers to develop seed strategies and best practices that will be predictive of seed growth and success.
- Lead implementation of all seed strategies and programs to meet objectives.
- Provide proactive leadership for training / developmental plans that improves marketing effectiveness and serves as foundation for seed sales across the sales team.
- Establish seed performance standards, goals and development / implementation of business plans for achieving company financial objectives.
- Identify and implement best practices which lead to strong financial performance and outstanding customer service.
- Provide input for company seed marketing, operational, business and procurement strategies and program development.
- Assist in providing technical information for agronomy, seed sales and marketing.
What we need from you :
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy Business or equivalent thereof, plus 5-7 years' sales experience
- Sales and leadership experience
- Knowledge of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products
- Knowledge of market analysis, pricing strategies, and supply forecasts
- Sales leadership and knowledge of closing techniques
- Ability to build relationships, identify producer needs and make multi-product proposals
- Planning, time management and organizational skills
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Require overnight travel on a limited basis
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed
