Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly visible and key member of the FP&A team focused on the development of the company’s annual operating plan, forecasting, and financial analysis functions.
The Senior Financial Analyst performs a variety of finance functions to support the maintenance of accurate financial records.

Essential Job Functions
- Key member of the development of the company’s annual operating budget for supported businesses.
- Monitors budget performance compared to plan and alerts managers to potential issues.
- Works with business partners to prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
- Assists with the preparation of monthly performance metrics and executive reporting packages.
- Drive decisions by providing analytical support through forecasting, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses.
- Improve existing finance processes to accelerate analysis for the proactive identification of business risks and opportunities
- Active member on cross-functional teams by providing the analytical support necessary to add value to the business.
- Identifies process improvement and cost-saving opportunities and recommends appropriate action steps to realize savings.
- Works with Information Technology staff to establish corporate performance reporting mechanisms to track and report key financial metrics.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent in education and work experience.
- Five years+ accounting or finance required related experience, preferred in a distribution environment
Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Above average computer skills, primarily Excel. Proficient in Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Oracle E1 JDE helpful
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record of challenging the status quo and driving business performance through financial analytics
