Company Overview :
Our client, a rapidly growing company in the furniture industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join their team in New York City.
Position Overview :
The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the quality and efficiency of furniture production, overseeing a couple of associates.
This role involves quality inspections, coordinating with production partners, maintaining product specifications, and product development.
The position is based in NYC, with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays, including travel across the US approximately once a month.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct weekly visits to production partners to review products ready for shipment.
- Perform quality audits and inspections.
- Document and maintain product specifications.
- Implement production changes and adjustments.
- Support the product development team with sample measurements.
- Address urgent quality issues as needed.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the NC hire and the HQ associate.
- Drive product development initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years of experience in upholstery and case goods, quality assurance, and product development.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficient in problem-solving with a proactive approach.
- Valid driver's license.
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Design) within the last 10-15 years.
