Student Fundraiser, Thunderbird
The ASU Foundation (ASUF) fosters partnerships between ASU and like-minded individuals, corporations and foundations who believe in ASU’s mission and provide resources for ASU to manifest its charter into meaningful impact.
The Student Fundraiser will reach out to alumni, family, and friends of Arizona State University and the Thunderbird School for Global Management for their philanthropic support.
The position offers a fast-paced team work environment and allows for students to gain vital skills in communication, sales tactics, and customer service.
The student fundraiser position requires being in front of a computer for 3.5 to 4.0 hours at a time. The ASU Foundation is an off-campus employer.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
This position will work 10-15 hours per week, for a minimum of 3 shifts. Additional hours maybe allowed during school breaks and over the summer.

What you'll do :
Conduct outreach and engagement on behalf of ASU, specifically the Thunderbird School of Management, and related programs
Foster relationships with Thunderbird partners and solicit prospective donors for donations going toward areas of interest or affinity at Thunderbird
Engage with prospect over outbound calling efforts by following scripts and tip-sheets to effectively relay information and clarify any questions or issues that arise
Accurately keep record of all conversations within the calling platform to relate summaries of engagements with the team
Build awareness and interest around the ASUF among campus community
Ability to relate well and carry meaningful and authentic conversations with all prospective donors
Strong understanding of Thunderbird, ASU, and its endeavors
Other duties as assigned
What you'll need :
Prior customer service skills recommended
Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, writing, and over the phone
Active listening to assess calling outcomes and conversational direction to potential donation ask
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information
Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible
Ability to represent the institution well
An advocate’s belief in the vision of ASU as the New American University
Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans
Relevant Qualifications :
An ASU student enrolled in the Thunderbird School of Global Management pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field with a willingness to learn and an ability to work well with others is also encouraged to apply.
A student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
