Summary :

Writes reports for Hospital Billing (HB) and Physician Billing (PB) Revenue Cycle out of Epic Reporting Systems, to include, but not limited to Clarity, Cojito, Reporting Workbench, Slicer / Dicer, and for reporting applications outside of the Epic system.

Reviews, analyzes and reports for various teams within Revenue Cycle. Gather, accurately analyze, and interpret data to guide an organization’s decision-making and performance improvement.

Must be able to present and communicate findings professionally to Management. Analysis consists of identifying and resolving issues, which prohibit reduction and / or maintenance of the health system’s accounts receivable goals.

Prepares accounts receivable reports for Revenue Cycle Leadership. Serves as departmental resource for all matters relating to accounts receivable data, and its output.

Formal Education Required :

a.Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or closely related field of study or equivalent combination of education and / or experience

Experience & Training Required :

a.Active Epic Report Certification for HB and PB i.e. Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Cogito, and Slicer / Dicer

b.Three (3) years increasingly responsible work experience in healthcare patient accounting, revenue cycle, report writing, and data analytics

g.Knowledge of hospital accounting procedures, computers, EDI, and other equipment used in the patient financial services area

h.Diverse knowledge and experience in utilizing standardized PC software

i.Ability to perform data entry, and have an advanced / proficient use of various software applications, up to and including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite with Word, Excel, (complete w / V-Look-up, calculations, and formulas) and Power Point

j.Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial information

k.Ability to travel from location to location throughout the workday.

l.Ability to effectively and professionally interact with populations of patients / customers, peers, subordinates and Summa leaders up to and including executive level with an respectful understanding of their needs

Level of Physical Demands :

a.Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

b.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, copier, supplies, etc.

c.Must be able to remain in a stationary position the majority of the time.

$30.60 / hr - $45.90 / hr

The salary range on this job posting / advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.

We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers.
