The trainer is responsible for mastering the Epic application and departmental specific workflows as it relates to Patient Access and both Professional and Hospital billing and serves as a subject matter expert on the end-to-end workflow and data flow through the entire Epic Revenue Cycle.
This individual is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the patient access software and serves as a bridge between the hospital end users and the Epic build / implementation teams.
The trainer is responsible for assisting with planning and coordinating Epic training for all staff and developing the policies and procedures to govern training and grant access.
The trainer develops, builds and maintains the training environment, curriculum and test data. This individual reviews, analyzes and builds the system in collaboration with Epic, department representatives, subject matter experts and end users.
This individual assists with testing for upgrades and releases of new functionality.
Department Specific Job Details :
Education :
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience :
- 1-2 years hospital registration / scheduling / patient facing role required
- 3-4 years preferred
Certification :
Registration, scheduling or billing knowledge preferred
Epic Revenue Cycle certification (ADT / Prelude, Cadence, HB / PB) preferred
Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Strong interpersonal skills required
System implementation experience preferred
Adult education experience preferred
