What's a typical day as a Machine Operator? You'll be :

• Reading and interpreting drawings for sheet metal products.
• Conducting visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Participating in troubleshooting and making process decisions.
• Assisting in the set-up of specialized equipment.
• Performing equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
• Operating various machines including Press Brake, CNC punch press, Fiber Optic lasers, and Haeger Pem Machines.
• Following audit and safety guidelines.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you :

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have 1 year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
• Have a background in precision mechanical operation and low volume, complex manufacturing processes (preferred).
• Have experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement (a plus).
• Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Have the ability to work in a cleanroom environment and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Have the ability to read tape measure / Calipers or other measuring devices, or the ability to learn.
• Have experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
• Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Are self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Have the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
