We are seeking a CM Inspector to join our Pocatello, ID team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Obtain required certification for testing and inspection of construction materials.
  • Obtain representative samples of construction material.
  • Review plans and specifications for project requirements.
  • Perform inspection and testing for : rebar, epoxy, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and other items.
  • Assist in the lab with materials testing.
  • Provide accurate reports to be submitted prior to leaving the jobsite.
  • Track time and supplies for the projects worked.
  • Track training hours on provided documentation.
  • Return calls or email within a reasonable time.
  • Maintain a professional image.
  • Maintain assigned gear in clean and operable condition.
  • Complete timecards and expense reports at the end of each shift.
  • Assist with the Pocatello and Idaho Falls workload and surrounding areas.
  • Complete all required safety reporting.

Requirements

Minimum requirements :

  • High School diploma / GED
  • Read and follow procedures.
  • 1-year of experience in one or more phases of construction with at least 3 to 4 WAQTC Certification & at Least 1 IQP Certification
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, and work outdoors.
  • A valid driving license, with a clean driving record, proof of insurance
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and random tests after hire.
  • Must have a professional work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Work in a cooperative and courteous manner with the public, contractors, supervisors, and other department staff.
  • Able to work weekends, early morning, or late evening hours
  • Willing to work out of town if needed
  • OSHA 10 certification

Technical requirements :

  • Candidate will be required to pursue relevant certifications such as : ACI, ICC, and WAQTC testing qualifications etc.
  • within 60 days of employment.
  • General computer skills such as : Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • General understanding of construction.
  • Basic mathematic and writing skill.
  • Communication through phone calls and email.

Other miscellaneous qualities :

  • Ability to travel, to surrounding area
  • Dress appropriate and meet safety requirements.
  • Practice defensive driving.
