Essentra is looking to hire a 1st Shift Tool Maker in our Erie, PA location. As a Tool Maker , you will be responsible for constructing new tooling or replacement tooling to blueprint designs ensuring all dimensions are met. You will :
- Build new tools to blueprints and documentation of steel dimensions
- Troubleshoot and repair tools or mold bases
- Troubleshoot manifold and controller problems
- Provide support to Changeover, Production, Engineering and Quality teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete repair work orders.
- Provide your own tools
- Work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business
Required :
- Must have experience working with hot runnermanifolds and controllers
- Forklift experience
- Excellent knowledge of tool making procedures.
- Good organization and planning skills
- Can operate all manual tool room machines andequipment
- Must be able to hold close tolerances consistently
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge
- Work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be willing to work 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years tool & die apprenticeship or equivalent(working with plastic injection molds)
- Additional functions as assigned by management
Preferred :
- Working with injection molding machines andtroubleshooting jobs
- Overhead bridge crane experience
