Job Summary
In this role, you will lead a team and manage the development, coordination, implementation, and administration of complex facility training and development programs that include both employee competencies and technical skills.
You will oversee the delivery of training and perform quality reviews. Your recommendations will help improve training effectiveness, cost efficiency, and processes. #LI-SP1
Major Responsibilities :
- Manages the development, coordination, implementation, and administration of authorized training and development programs for a medium to large complex facility
- May represent the Facility Manager
- Supervises a staff of professional and non-exempt employees
- Develops and implements training activities directed at both employee competencies and technical skills for on project or plant operations wide basis in accordance with a Systematic Approach to Training
- Partners with Operations Managers and Training Manager to design, implement and conducts budgeted technical training for a project or plant
- Provides operational direction and guidance to instructors and administrative employees as assigned
- Oversees and monitors the delivery of the trainings according to regulations and customers’ requirements
- Leads and provides guidance to instructors, ensuring adequate knowledge transfer
- Performs quality reviews to improve training efficiency, processes, and cost efficiency
- Researches and studies advancements in educational technologies and technical methods
- Assists in the preparation of operational manuals and procedures which govern facility operations and monitors adherence to same.
- Is responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures and instructions for facility operations and ensures that all state and federal codes, requirements, and standards are complied with.
- Prepares an initial budget estimate for training and development and submits it to the Project Manager, Facility Manager or to the responsible functional training manager.
Education and Experience Requirements :
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills :
- Experience and demonstrated ability to deliver training courses using classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present effective oral and written reports.
- Skill in developing, coordinating, implementing, and administering training programs.
- Skill in personnel administration.
- Knowledge and experience in the scope of work inherent In operations and maintenance projects.
- Skill in supervision and administration.
