As an Ocean / Air Export Logistics Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for ensuring the proper and timely movement of ocean and air freight shipments.
You will represent the company in developing new outside business relationships with both carriers and customers. In addition, you will have internal communications coordinating with other team members and assigned warehouses with an eye to guarantee the timely delivery of all freight shipments.

- Medium to small freight forwarding history a strong plus!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Export Logistics Specialist :
- Coordinate air and ocean shipments A to Z - "cradle to grave"
- Communicate efficiently with overseas partners and local vendors
- Identify areas of improvement in the transportation of client’s supply chain
- Anticipate potential issues and communicate to the client to mitigate disruptions in their supply chain
- Ensuring timely updates or shipment details and updating system timely to meet deadlines
- Provide price indications for clients for their export shipments
- Prepare and review export documents and ensure compliance with US requirements
- Responsible for proper and timely invoicing of clients
- Cargowise experienced / certified
- Highly proficient and recognized in all daily aspects of export operations documentation
- Extensive experience in negotiating, pricing, securing processes of market products with Shipping Ocean / Air , LCL, FCL, ISO Tank, and dry containers
- Extensive inventory records management experience with proven ability to provide monthly forecasts and payment / collections competencies.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean / air export freight forwarding, import experience a big plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in a transaction processing role
