Soccer Shots Sacramento is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Director to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our reach within the community (Sacramento, Placer & El Dorado counties).

This role requires a passion for youth development, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.

Reports to : The Integrator

Sales and Account Management

  • Identify sales leads and attain new accounts to expand Soccer Shots programming within the Greater Sacramento region (Placer, Sacramento & El Dorado counties).
  • Increase enrollment at existing locations through targeted sales efforts, demos, and relationship building.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed enrollment targets.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential partners.
  • Track and report on sales metrics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure partner satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage & build partner relationships (school check-ins, site conflict inquiries, director gift distribution, site visits, etc.).
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, childcare centers, community centers, and other potential partners.

Marketing and Community Engagement

  • Seasonal marketing emails, text messages and monthly newsletters.
  • Perform marketing tasks related to the acquisition of new accounts (attend events, back to school nights, conferences, create & distribute marketing materials, etc.)
  • Identify and attend community events, expos, and meetings to promote Soccer Shots and network with potential partners.
  • Perform marketing tasks for existing locations (flier & poster distribution).
  • Postcard drop-offs.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably within the youth sports or education sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem solver who has the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and think outside the box.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take on a variety of roles and tasks.
  • Tech-savvy.

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary : $43-53K DOE

Working Hours, Location & Schedule

The job description above is a full-time, exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. On occasion, it will be necessary to work additional hours, including weekday evenings and weekends, to meet deadlines and goals.

Normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5pm. This role will be expected to work out of our central office (located in Citrus Heights) as well as travel to partner sites in the Greater Sacramento region.
