The Director, National Accounts - Builders is responsible for generating awareness and creating strong customer relationships with the National Dealers and Public Home Builders in the building products industry.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the building products industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales teams.

This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve company goals.

Essential Functions :

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share within the National Builder segment.
  • Identify and prioritize key builder accounts and opportunities for expansion, working closely with the executive team to set sales targets and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at national and regional builder organizations, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales professionals, providing guidance on account management, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Represent AZEK Company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, serving as a brand ambassador and networking with key stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the building products industry, with a focus on selling to national builder accounts.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and colleagues.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend events, and support sales initiatives.

Key Deliverables :

  • Increase deck / rail / trim programs with top 50 builders - currently 11 programs
  • Develop comprehensive strategy to drive market share increase in deck / rail / trim with Production and Custom Home Builders
  • Work with marketing team to develop marketing plan that includes model homes, design centers, social media, etc.
  • Work with current sales team to develop plan to service regional buying offices.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $143,000 in our lowest market up to $177,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
