HOERBIGER Corporation of America, INC. is seeking a Industrial Maintenance Technician who is a career-minded individual looking for long-term growth and potential for our growing team.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is a key position within the Maintenance Department. The position is focused on routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance for equipment and facilities in our two production facilities.
In those plants we produce high precision parts with injection molding and CNC machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review all maintenance work requests to determine what is needed to fix the equipment.
- Diagnose and identify complex problems through troubleshooting related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC system.
- Communicate with supervision on priorities and approach to ensure and strategize the maintenance of equipment critical to production, ensuring that the most essential machinery receives prompt attention.
- Maintenance record for all work performed to allow it to become useful data for analysis and reporting.
- Perform geometric inspections on machines and parts to determine perpendicularity, flatness, straightness, roundness, runout with precision instruments like indicators, straightedges and squares.
- Execute preventive maintenance work orders that are scheduled with production.
- Clean and replace components of machinery as needed and defined in the preventive maintenance strategy.
- Communicate with machinists and engineers on dimensioning and tolerance for reworking parts.
- Give feedback to improve the preventive maintenance program.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in repairing and maintaining CNC equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex machine problems based on input from operators, technical manuals, and alarm codes.
- Understanding of electrical voltage, resistance, and amperage using a meter.
- Knowledge and practical experience with injection molding equipment and repair processes.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, indicators, micrometers, and plug gauges.
- Familiarity with industrial plant safety protocols.
- Proficiency in operating an industrial lift truck.
- Proficiency in using Excel to collect and manipulate data.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints and factory floor plans.
- Preferred certifications and licenses related to machine repair, mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC logic, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- A background in machining is desirable.
