Our client seeks a Senior Human Resources Specialist in their greater Chicago, IL location. This position will play a crucial role in the management of the company's HR functions that includes talent acquisition, benefit administration, employee relations, performance management, training and development and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in HR management and deep understanding of HR best practices and labor regulations.

REQUIREMENTS :
- Develop, implement and monitor HR processes, procedures, systems and strategies across the organization
- Strengthen management and employee relations by addressing requests, grievances or other issues that may arise
- Attract, hire and retain high-quality employees by managing the recruitment and selection process
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
- Foster a positive working environment by maintaining a high level of employee relations
- Manage and oversee a performance and appraisal system that drives high performance
- Assessment and management of employee training programs
- Position is responsible for ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource managment
- Responsible for management of HR budget
- QUALIFICATIONS :
- BS or related degree in Human Resources
- Proven work experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive position
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent listening, presentation and negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
