Overview
As we prepare to unveil the transformation from Newport Beachside Hotel to the newly renovated Sunny Hotel, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to lead our efforts in attracting corporate and transient business travelers.
The Senior Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in promoting these changes, securing corporate accounts, and establishing partnerships to drive hotel revenue.
The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities.
The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing :
- Highlight the hotel's extensive renovations in sales efforts, emphasizing upgraded rooms, refreshed meeting spaces, and enhanced amenities to attract individual business travelers and local accounts.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities within the corporate and transient segments.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at local businesses, travel agencies, and corporate travel programs to generate new leads.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts, while continuously identifying opportunities for upselling the newly enhanced offerings.
- Represent The Sunny Hotel at industry events, local business functions, and travel industry conferences. Leverage the hotel's new design and services as key selling points during presentations and client meetings.
- Negotiate contracts and rates for individual and corporate travelers, ensuring the hotel's profitability while meeting client needs.
- Partner with the Revenue Management and Marketing teams to align sales strategies with room rates, occupancy goals, and marketing campaigns that showcase the hotel's renovations.
- Provide regular updates on sales progress, market trends, and client feedback. Track performance against sales targets and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications
What we are looking for :
5+ years of hotel sales experience, with a proven track record in securing business from corporate and transient markets.
Experience promoting newly renovated or repositioned hotels is a plus.
Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills, with an ability to create long-lasting relationships and generate revenue.
Familiarity with the local market and key corporate accounts in the Sunny Isles Beach or Miami areas is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
