Hiring Carpenters - full time

Opportunity in Austell GA (Near Six Flags)

Full Time (based on experience)

Days : Monday to Friday

Hours : 7 : 00 AM- 3 : 30 PM

CARPENTER

• Safe operation and knowledge of hand and power tools as well as typical wood-shop equipment
• Must be able to read setup instructions and assemble components using hand tools
• Ability to read shop and construction drawings knowledge in general and finish carpentry, able to read a tape measure and follow blue prints
• At least 5 year(s) of proven work experience in the trade show industry is a must, preferably as a lead carpenter
• Knowledge of various panel materials such as pvc, aluminum, acrylic
• Experience building furniture, cabinets, or other creative woodworking
• Positive, hardworking attitude - Ability to problem solve, go getter that is ready and willing to work and be well versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldings
• Able to work flexible hours
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic math skills including geometry is a must
• Must be detail oriented, follow instructions, have good organization skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be a problem solver and be ready to jump in immediately to help build, set up, install and tear down trade show exhibits!
• Proven knowledge in professional painting procedures
• Demonstrate high quality, precision work with clean finish results consistently
• layout, cut and assemble wood components
• operate a variety of wood working machines, as well as, hand and power tools
• Attach parts and subassemblies together to form completed units, using dowels, nails, screws and / or clamps build, repair, install items, such as cabinet, counter tops, shelving, moldings and partition walls install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, drawers, pulls and slides
• Maintain safe working conditions while striving for the ultimate in quality measurement

Qualifications

• Carpentry : Proven experience - Minimum 2 years’ experience, in the tradeshow industry, non-negotiable
• High school or GED
• Cabinet installation
• tradeshow Carpentry (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Trade show display construction
• Cabinetry or furniture fabrication
