Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Low Voltage Cabling Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This exciting role will allow you to utilize your technical skills in the construction industry, with a particular focus on low voltage cabling, security systems, and alarm systems.

Your primary role will be to assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing various projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within budget.

This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from small residential installations to large-scale commercial projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing low voltage cabling, security, and alarm system projects.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure work is being completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing as planned.
  • Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and work orders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager on project status.
  • Foster a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a particular focus on low voltage cabling, security systems, and alarm systems.
  • Proven experience in project management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of low voltage cabling, security systems, and alarm systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
  • Proficient in using project management software to plan, monitor, and report on project progress.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • A degree or diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field would be an asset.
