Roetzel & Andress has a new position for an IT Support Technician in our Akron, Ohio location.  We are a dynamic firm with a positive work environment that offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits.

Position Summary :

  • The IT Support Technician delivers both hands-on and remote technical assistance, supports user training, and ensures consistent, high-quality IT service across the organization.
  • Reporting directly to the Manager of Support Services, this role interacts with staff and partners at all levels and provides support to a geographically dispersed team.
  • The technician also contributes to firm-wide IT initiatives and may travel periodically to other Roetzel office locations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for PCs, mobile devices, telecommunications, and software applications.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 / 11, and firm-specific applications.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
  • Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotations and provide overflow support for other regions.
  • Assist with server and infrastructure management tasks.
  • Maintain vendor relationships for printers, copiers, and facility-related equipment.
  • Document procedures and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
  • Deliver clear, step-by-step instructions to users and technical guidance to regional office managers.

    • Support AI-enabled tools and workflows by assisting users with setup, troubleshooting, and best practices for productivity-enhancing AI applications. (Microsoft Co-Pilot) Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree in IT or a minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Strong passion for problem-solving and customer service.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for PCs, printers, copiers, software, and mobile devices (iPhone, Samsung).
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 / 11 and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with imaging, software installations, and ticketing systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Field technician experience in satellite locations (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred.
  • The candidate must also pass a background check as a condition for employment.
