The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) ICU / Stepdown / Rapid Response Team (RRT) is responsible for the initial and ongoing education and competency assessment and evaluation process within their service lines.
The ICU / Stepdown / RRT Nurse Educator assists nursing services and provides programs and training to enhance the development of technical, psychomotor, and critical thinking domains.
The ICU / Stepdown / RRT Nurse Educator will maintain clinical competency in order to best assess and assist the needs of the units assigned.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education : Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Education
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Education required within 2 years
Experience : Minimum 3+ years critical care nursing, preferably with trauma and neuro; Nurse Educator experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or compact state; Must have current BLS and ACLS. CCRN preferred.
