Job Title : Package Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Package Machine Operator to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for visually inspecting various sizes of pasta noodles, ensuring they meet our high standards.

You will be required to stand for 8-10 hours a day, sifting through noodles and removing any that do not meet quality standards by hand.

Additionally, you will package finished goods into boxes, with weights ranging from 8 lbs to 35 lbs. This position requires high attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect pasta noodles for quality control.
• Remove non-compliant products manually.
• Package finished goods into boxes, weighing between 8 lbs and 35 lbs.
• Operate machinery within the food manufacturing setting.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and common sense.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Essential Skills

• Basic machine operating skills in a food manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of strong attendance verified by reference check.
• Ability to lift upwards of 35 lbs when needed.
• High attention to detail and counting skills (count to 12 regularly).
• Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours a day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience working in a food manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

Our facility is located in Frederickson, a location without bus routes. The work environment is typically warm due to large ovens and loud because of the machinery.

Employees are expected to maintain clean hygiene standards, including no facial hair, nail polish, fake nails, piercings, or strong scents.

Shifts are from 6am to 6 : 30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts and overtime to meet production demands.

Excessive overtime is not common (2-5 hours / week).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.
