Summary

• The Financial and Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for providing in depth analysisand reporting of healthcare plan design;
• Utilizing sophisticated software tools and platforms to aid in complex analysis, such as predictive analytics and population health forecasting;
• Strategicanalysisofcurrentandtrendingmarketchanges;Analyzingclaimutilizationandchangesinthemarket aswellas within client groups;

Merging benefit plan data into meaningful reporting dashboards;and Providing illustrations of various funding and alternate plan options and comparisons.

EssentialDutiesAndResponsibilities

• Utilizepredictiveanalyticssoftwareto : producerenewalprojections;Estimateactuarialdifferencesbetweenplandesigns and relative values between specific reinsurance contracts;
• Predict population migration based on plan designs / contributions / incentives; Evaluate the appropriateness of self-funding vs fully insured;

andProvide reporting on specific reinsurance deductible levels.

UpdateClaimsReportingDashboardsonamonthlybasisandprovidereporting / writtensummariesoffindingstoclients.

ProduceIBNRestimatesforclientfinancials.

Evaluatetheappropriatenessofself-fundingvsfullyinsuredanddevelopillustrativeratesforplandesigns.

Analyzehealthcareclaimsandidentifymemberseligibleforalternativecoverageplans.

Usefinancialmodeler,populationhealthanalysisandothertoolstopredictfinancialimpactonclientplans.

Otherdutiesasassigned.

AdditionalResponsibilities

Lead,guide,directmid-yearandannualrenewalmeetingsandparticipateininternalpre-renewalmeetings.

Preparespreadsheets,graphs,charts,diagrams,andotherillustrativetoolsforpresentationsandreports.

Workcollaborativelywithclientserviceteamstocollectandreviewdataforaccuracyandconsistency.

ServeasaSubjectMatterExpertonfinancialreporting.

Adapttonewsoftwareprogramswhenimplemented.

Attendallinternalscheduledofficeandteammeetings.

Remaininformedofinsuranceindustrydevelopmentsandproductsavailableinthemarketplaceandparticipateincontinuing

educationevents.

Makeapositivecontributiontoclientsatisfactionandstrivetoimproveclientservice.

Attendclientmeetingswhennecessary.

Buildrapportwithclients,carrierrepresentativesandrespondtoemailinquiriesinatimelymanner.

Participateinspecialprojectsasrequired.

Qualifications

Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,anindividualmustbeabletoperformeachessentialdutyatahighlevel.Therequirementslisted below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Educationand / orExperience

Bachelor’sdegreeinabusiness-relatedprogramorequivalenteducationand / orexperience,withanemphasisinmath,

statistics,orfinancerequiredorequivalentlevelofexperience.

2-5yearsofexperienceinasimilarpositionwithknowledgeinhealthcareinsurance.

Familiaritywithbasicfinancialreportingandbasicmedicalterminology.

Familiaritywithbasicstatisticsandunderstandingofriskandinsuranceconceptsispreferred.

ComputerSkills

IntermediatetoadvancedskilllevelinMSOfficeExcel

Excellentcomputerskillsincludingwordprocessingandspreadsheetexpertise

BrokerageBuilder / ZyWavesoftwareexperience

Experiencewithreportingdashboardsandplancomparisonsoftwareispreferred.
