About the role

We're looking for an Analyst to join our Financial Operations team, which sits within the Finance org and plays a key role at the intersection of the Product, Finance and Advisor Experience functions.

Your mandate in this role is operational excellence and scalability - ensuring we deliver a best-in-class experience for our partners and advisors through the financial operations lens as we 10x the number of advisors using the platform.

You will own the end-to-end processes that ensure our travel advisors are compensated accurately and promptly. You will manage and develop a team of offshore staff, overseeing their work and ensuring operational excellence.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product / engineering, data, advisor experience and our AR team you will optimize systems, drive automation, and scale our financial operations as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Advisor Payout Processing

  • Oversee the end-to-end advisor payout process to guarantee accurate and prompt compensation.
  • Implement strategies to streamline payouts, minimize errors, and enhance advisor satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any payout issues in collaboration with the FinOps Partners team.

Team Management and Development

  • Work in collaboration with a team of offshore staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Uphold effective communication protocols for seamless collaboration between HQ and offshore teams.

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and automation within payout processes.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to implement tools and systems that enhance payout efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing scalable processes to support the growth of the advisor network.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product / engineering, data, Advisor Experience, and FinOps Partners teams to ensure aligned financial operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the FinOps team and other departments to maintain transparency and coordination as it relates to getting advisors paid.
  • Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to improve systems and advisor experiences.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to advisor payouts.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and provide actionable insights to the Senior Manager and finance leadership.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure all payout operations adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain data integrity and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and compliance standards relevant to financial operations.

Support Operational Scalability

  • Assist in developing standardized procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability of payout processes.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at scaling financial operations to accommodate the growing advisor base.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution

  • Proactively identify operational challenges in payout processes and develop effective solutions.
  • Handle escalations and provide support to advisors and internal teams to resolve payout issues promptly.
  • Innovate and implement problem-solving strategies to enhance operational performance.

Requirements

Total Experience

1-3+ years of experience in a combination of Consulting, Investment Banking, high-growth startup.

Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills

  • Strong strategic, big picture, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Creative problem-solving, including strong diagnostic abilities to uncover root issues
  • Systems thinking and documentation
  • Intellectually curious with a growth mindset
  • Strong numerical aptitude with high attention to detail

Data and Technical Proficiency

  • Comfortable working with large data sets
  • Analytical skills with technical proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase or Tableau
  • Experience building no-code / low-code solutions

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with travel advisors, external stakeholders, and across the organization
  • A true team player, good collaborator, and trustworthy colleague

Project Management and Organizational Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent project management, from project scoping to completion

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation

Compensation range for this role can vary widely depending on experience, and for this role an indicative range is $100,000 $120,000 + equity.

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca / Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
