Position Overview :
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the finance department and overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
This strategic role requires leadership to guide the company toward financial growth and sustainability. The Director of Finance will collaborate with department heads to ensure financial objectives align with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Planning & Analysis :
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Develop financial models to support decision-making.
- Budgeting & Reporting :
- Prepare and manage the company's annual budget.
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow).
- Monitor financial performance to ensure alignment with the budget.
- Report financial results to senior leadership.
- Financial Strategy :
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve growth.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and board of directors.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Risk Management & Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audits.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management :
- Oversee cash flow management and maintain operational liquidity.
- Manage banking relationships and debt.
- Team Leadership & Development :
- Lead and mentor the finance team.
- Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
- Oversee recruitment and training of finance staff.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Experience :
- 8+ years in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
