TekCom Resources, Inc is currently recruiting for several Data Center / Cabling Technicians for one of our national customers with needs in the Omaha, NE area.

Travel throughout Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa will be required, and mileage / travel reimbursed (after 65 miles).

Up to 80%-90% overnight travel throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and grow with an established company.

Job Summary :

Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.

Responsibilities / Qualifications :

• You will be responsible for head-end installation of routers, CMTS ( cable modem termination system) and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
• Perform RF wiring with RG59 HEC, Mini RF, Cat 5 / 6, Fiber Jumpers and associated connectors, between active and passive devices.
• Test and label all cables according to the Customer’s specifications.
• Install racks, set rails, and cable trays.
• Travel will be required between regional sites.- Up to 50% overnight travel throughout the region.
• 3+ years of experience in data centers, headend, or central office environments
• Must have strong communication and judgement skills.
