Responsibilities and Qualification
- Repairs and maintains HVAC, building control systems and electrical equipment as required.
- Continuously evaluates the condition and performance of HVAC and electrical equipment and performs preventative maintenance;
makes and oversees repairs as needed.
- Develops standards for the department to ensure that repairs will meet building code requirements.
- Ensures the department is aware of current building codes.
- Trains and / or assists other employees with their duties.
- Responds to emergencies and provides temporary or lasting repairs as the situation dictates.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma / GED. Field Training Program or Technical School Training preferred.
- 3 years minimum experience in job related field. Electrical, building control systems, boiler, chiller experience preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
SALARY RANGE : $22.51 - $28.14 hourly based on qualifications
