The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in healthcare settings, assisting healthcare providers in various clinical and administrative tasks. They may perform duties such as measuring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, documenting patient information, providing patient education, handling administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and managing medical records, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and engaging in continuous learning to stay updated with medical advancements. MAs contribute to the delivery of quality healthcare and support the well-being of patients in diverse healthcare environments.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multitask and be flexible with workload.
• Ability to effectively communicate with community members, staff, and shareholders of all levels.
• Bilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Measuring and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate).

All other duties as assigned by the supervisor / manager.

CRITICAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands : Work is performed in a fast-paced office and community setting, requiring local travel. Physical demands include prolonged sitting / standing and phone use. Lifting and carrying PR equipment and supplies (5-10 lbs.) may be required.

Compensation : Salary commensurate with education and experience.
