What You Will Do

The Senior Workday analyst should be an inquisitive, energetic, and collaborative team member who can assist with Trimble’s goal of continually increasing Workday’s efficiency and functionality in its work environment.

Working collaboratively, this position will assist with a broad range of activities including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting, and experience with other Workday modules, specifically recruiting, BIRT and security, are a plus.

The role’s primary responsibility is to support compensation, time tracking and absence management, general tenant enhancement, Workday feature enablement and ownership of the biannual Workday update process (testing and roll out) with the opportunity to learn specific module support and configuration.

Roles & Responsibilities

Work independently on technically advanced configuration projects with the ability to clearly communicate project status, connect with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ask for support and guidance from the team when necessary.

Security Administrator - maintain and monitor security access requests through tickets and as part of recurring reorganization role changes.

Review and recommend security enhancements and define new methodology.

Consider end to end test scripts when working on new configuration, and can utilize big picture thinking to plan new configuration effectively for a large organization and technical ecosystem.

Supports global ticketing system which can include requests such as general troubleshooting and PX requests from global stakeholders.

Assist with testing of new Workday functionality and regular Workday release updates.

Replicates and verifies customer issues and handles appropriately as a People Systems SME and crosstrains junior level team members.

Serve as project owner for new Workday initiatives, including assistance with configuration, data loads, and testing.

Measure of Success

Effectively and accurately configure Compensation requests that may include, merit and equity annual processes, bonus design and configuration, creating / updating job profiles, regrades, creating eligibility rules, validation rules, complex calculated fields and reporting, updating security as needed.

Effectively analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves HRIS issues to completion; focuses on continuous improvement, tenant optimization.

Assists in effective review, testing and implementation of Workday updates.

Ability to provide accurate and timely data for audit documentation requests, ticket requests, and general People Systems inquiries.

Participates as part of the team responsible for Trimble’s Workday support help desk which services employee questions, data requests, report requests, access issues, including global WD accounts and supervisory organization maintenance.

Create EIB loads, including ensuring that data is complete and accurate prior to completing the loads. These can include mandatory pay increase EIBs, acquisition data loads, and reorgs.

Teams with PX Partners and People Ops to maintain data integrity.

Assisting as back up for SMEs in other Workday modules as necessary.

What You Should Bring

5+ years supporting HRIS systems and at least 3-4 years of technical Workday experience, ideally with Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking configuration experience and general tenant enhancement, Workday feature enablement and ownership of the biannual Workday update process (9+ years relevant work experience).

Experience creating complex Workday calculated fields, eligibility and validation rules.

Experience utilizing BIRT is a plus.

Proven experience in thinking outside the box to come up with solutions to solve business problems.

Experience in supporting a global ticketing system for PX systems.

Experience in maintaining / creating documentation and effectively explaining requirements, design, development, and testing.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.

Ability to work independently and perform against tight deadlines and multi-task effectively.

Self-motivator balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.
