Reporting to our Program Manager, the Sr. Contracts Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of contract management, analysis, tracking, and reconciliation for all LHA(R), SSC, and LCU 1700 Detail Design and Construction (DD&C) shipbuilding contracts.
This is a contingent position expected to be located in Washington, D.C.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, track, and reconcile all funding obligated on LHA(R), SSC, and LCU 1700 DD&C shipbuilding contracts to include at the contract, CLIN, SLIN and ACRN levels.
- Monitor invoice status, withholds, funding document status, contract performance, PoP and Ceiling.
Track and analyze all engineering services performed on LHA(R), SSC, and LCU 1700 DD&C contracts, e.g., total funding placed on contract, funding expended, and funding unallocated.
- Monitor and track the closeout status of inactive shipbuilding contracts through the analyses of outstanding contract obligations, the preparation of closeout funding documents, and the coordination of outstanding issues with applicable Procuring Contracting Officers (PCO), Administrative Contracting Officers (ACO), and vendors.
- Conduct production and EVM analyses including cost and schedule variance analyses, analyses of variance explanations, Shipbuilder overhead trend projection analyses, progress payments analyses, and Cost Performance Reports (CPR) analyses.
- Assist with program acquisition reporting requirements such as quarterly DAES, monthly RDAIS, and the annual or quarterly SAR.
- Bid and proposal support as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications :
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and contracts management required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program.
- Ten (10) years of professional experience providing contracts management and reconciliation support to an ACAT I shipbuilding program is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, possess strong technical skills and be customer oriented.
- Clearly communicate complex ideas to others visually, verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with standard business tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and web-enabled collaboration platforms / applications.
