Job Summary
This position supports initiatives of the Operations team in addition to general upkeep of the shop as well as minor mechanical repairs on equipment.
Other duties may be assigned based on the business needs of the region.
Job Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate location.
- Store and stack material.
- Provide assistance to shop crew.
- Lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts.
- Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures.
- Perform general shop clean up as needed.
- Maintain quality and effectiveness of mechanical operations by observing and correcting for tool and equipment wear and breakage, malfunctions and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Assure safe environment and operations by strictly following all Company and industry safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain supplies inventory and requisition replacement purchases.
Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must successfully pass a pre-placement drug screen and satisfactory background check.
Preferred Experience
- Experience reaping equipment or pumps
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry would be an asset.
- Experience operating a fork lift / telehandler
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and stand
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to load, unload, and move large equipment and tools
- Continuous walking, stair climbing, and lifting
Compensation
$18.00 / hr.
