Skill Development Parent (PRN - Flexible Hours)

ChildServe’s Supported Community Living (SCL) service has a job for you! As a Skill Development Parent, you will provide 1 : 1 personal care, skill development, supervision, and training individualized for your child.

Please note, this is a temporary position.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with most shifts occurring after 4pm Monday - Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Have fun and work 1 : 1 with your child to teach daily living skills that will help make children more independent.
• Must be able to work without direct supervision.
• Ongoing training and supervision provided.
• Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, nursing, and psychology.

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be a parent of a child receiving services at ChildServe
• Basic computer skills and have reliable access to the internet to complete required documentation and online trainings.
• Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
• Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a Motor Vehicle Record Check and car safety check.

Must have a valid driver's license for the past 3 years.

• Must have punctual and reliable attendance.
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
