We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop support tech / IT Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for managing our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, security, and reliability.
They will also oversee managing the ERP system. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network Administration :
- Manage and maintain our organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- System Administration :
- Administer and support servers, both physical and virtual, running Windows, or other operating systems.
- Install, configure, and update server software and applications as needed.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
- User Support :
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist users with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Educate users on IT best practices and security protocols.
- Security Management :
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent security breaches.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and security technologies to proactively protect our IT infrastructure.
- IT Infrastructure Management :
- Manage IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, and ensure proper inventory control.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services.
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades and expansions to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in network administration, including TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms (, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure).
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection / prevention systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications (, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus
- Ability to write Crystal reports or willingness to learn.
