Summary :

In this role, you will be a strategic sourcing resource, dedicated to delivering best in class contracting strategies and expertise that result in supply chain cost reductions for a clinically driven regional aggregation group in the Northeast.

You will contribute to all aspects of supply chain strategic sourcing processes including opportunity identification, soliciting input from member clinical experts and physicians, strategy building, contract development, negotiations, communications, documentation, and implementation.

You will develop an aggregation group-specific contract strategy to reduce spending and create savings solutions, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize delivered value.

You will establish credibility as a trusted advisor through the development of key interpersonal relationship with health-system and supplier stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

Develop project plans and engage appropriate internal and external stakeholders to meet savings goals and business objectives through a variety of contracting strategies.

The role will evaluate client spend data to prioritize implementation of contracts based on highest savings opportunities and present a plan of priority to engagements.

Conduct and interpret financial analysis, market trends, and consult with subject matter experts to formulate contract strategy recommendations.

Conduct ongoing price monitoring and contract maintenance utilizing Vizient benchmarking tools to review existing agreement market relevance and pricing for negotiations.

Work with health-system stakeholders and teammates to identify new savings and contracting opportunities. Identify gaps in contracting portfolio to ensure realization of engagement value.

Present savings initiatives and conduct contracting updates at engagement meetings.

Create strong relationships with suppliers, and internal and external customers across all product and service lines. Conduct the bid process and generate Request for Proposals (RFP’s).

Based on customer input and best practices, work with suppliers on specific terms and conditions and pricing to achieve market relevant value.

Work independently with legal team to negotiate terms and conditions of complex contracts (e.g., physician preference, clinical preference, purchase services, capital), building consensus and executing to meet the needs of members, suppliers, and Vizient.

Cultivate and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders such as legal, analytics, backend systems, and the team supporting aptitude sourcing platform.

Adapt to changing conditions and new challenges that face our member hospitals with agility and help them find strategies and cost savings to weather adversity and overcome new challenges.

Qualifications :

Relevant degree preferred.

2 or more years of relevant work experience required.

Ability to think critically and effectively present information in a summary fashion utilizing Microsoft tools required.

Health care contracting background with experience in successful contract negotiations preferred.

Strong relationship-building and strategic partnering skills preferred.

Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range :

$77,400.00 - $115,050.00
