Position Overview / Description
GrayMar Environmental Incident Response Team aims to provide professional, specialized, and technical services for internal and external customers and incentivize future industry leaders' development through comprehensive training and experiences.
The National Strategic IRT Manager will be responsible for working with the Director of IRT and Branch locations to implement programs and best practices to enhance the company’s technical and specialized abilities, emergency response capabilities, safety culture, efficiency, and profitability, with a core focus in Business Development and Project Management.
Reports directly to the Senior Vice President and works cross-functionally with all branch locations.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Business Development
- Project Management
- Support coordination of move up and cover activities for planned and unplanned work.
- Scope of disciplines will include but not be limited to Incident Command Systems, Tank Car Specialist, Highway Specialist, Swiftwater Technician, Oil Spill Response, Confined Space, Wildland Fire, Industrial Fire, High Hazard Chemicals, Radioactive Materials, and Advanced Air Monitoring.
- Work with industry partners and customers to benchmark and enhance services.
- Continuous assessment, enhancement, and allocation of specialized equipment and resources.
- Train employees and external customers, working cross-functionally with the Health and Safety Team.
- Development of peer trainers at all branch locations.
Job Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of project management.
- Proven track record of at least five years in leadership position in emergency response management
- Strong understanding of quality control and supply chain management.
- Leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Processing documentation within designated timeframes to meet deadlines.
- Required ICS / NIMS certification : ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800
- Required Technical / Specialized certification or equivalent experience : Tank Car Specialist, Highway Specialist, Swiftwater Technician, Oil Spill Response, Confined Space, Wildland Fire, Industrial Fire.
- Preferred ICS / NIMS certification : ICS-300, ICS-400
- Preferred Technical / Specialized certification or equivalent : Radioactive Materials and Advanced Air Monitoring.
