The Role

Our client is seeking a versatile Senior Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer to join their dynamic team. They are looking for someone with broad experience who can engage directly with clients, applying both data science best practices and machine learning engineering techniques to build, deploy, and maintain models for tackling real-world marketing challenges.

Vice President of Data Science

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Utilize Databricks to extract insights and develop new audiences from diverse first and third-party data sources.
• Apply advanced modeling techniques to develop and refine target audiences for marketing and analytics.
• Own the management and updates of models to ensure ongoing accuracy and effectiveness in driving business outcomes.
• Design and implement machine learning models to address marketing challenges.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective machine learning solutions.
• Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to establish and maintain machine learning pipelines.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of machine learning models.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in machine learning technologies.

Qualifications

• Preferably holds Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional certification (willingness to complete certification upon offer).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-education experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with at least 2 years focused specifically on Databricks ML.
• Proficient in Python (scikit-learn), Spark, and SQL.
• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning principles, algorithms, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
