This position will provide responsive customer service through the operation of vehicles and equipment to collect and deliver refuse and recyclable materials to appropriate destinations.
Accurately record collections data for billing and to inform decision making. This position will engage in high performing, leading edge practices, valuing people, partners and stewardship.

- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.- One year experience as a Driver Collector / Hauler I with knowledge of the tools, equipment and processes used in recycling and refuse operations, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Possession of a valid Michigan Group A or B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement and a valid medical certificate.
Applicants must have a good driving record and submit their operator's license number on their application form for a motorvehicle check.
- Possession or attainment of a MSU Forklift Operator's permit prior to completion of applicable probation or trial period.
- Frequent lifting of 26 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds.Desired QualificationsA demonstrated interest in recycling, landfill diversion, and sustainability.
