Position Summary
The starting hourly rate for this position is $21.42, with an increase to $22.55 after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

Minimum Requirements
- Must have at least 100 hours of actual documented driving time with a Heavy Equipment Operator / Hauler or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- One year experience as a Driver Collector / Hauler I with knowledge of the tools, equipment and processes used in recycling and refuse operations, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Possession of a valid Michigan Group A or B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement and a valid medical certificate.
Applicants must have a good driving record and submit their operator's license number on their application form for a motor
vehicle check.
- Possession or attainment of a MSU Forklift Operator's permit prior to completion of applicable probation or trial period.
- Frequent lifting of 26 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
A demonstrated interest in recycling, landfill diversion, and sustainability.
