Position Summary
The Quality Control Specialist position is a detail-oriented person responsible for checking print quality, stock and coloration is adequate as compared to the samples provided.
Ensures checks, and other printed documents, are in balance to corresponding check volume release. The Quality Control Specialist will made sure post-printed check specifications (Micr line, perforations, etc) are aligned before work orders are created and jobs are forwarded to the Mail Center.
The position will validate that the number of documents match compared to the print provided, and reconcile and endorse final counts for handwork, Mail Center and the Overnight work orders used for document insertion and mail processing.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining set quality standards and company SOPs
- Read and understand work order completely. Visually inspect all work order materials against job specifications and report all problems to supervisor / management.
- Comply with all company and postal service requirements.
- Handling job related materials
- Communicating effectively with all appropriate personnel
- Maintaining quantity counts
- Maintain document confidentiality.
- This position requires long periods of standing and walking.
- Bending and lifting are required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Computer knowledge is required.
- Ability to balance transactions.
- Fast-paced, reliable, and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Additional responsibilities as required.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of USPS Regulations
- Results driven with high attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist and lift.
- Must be able to understand English and follow operator instructions.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
